Kenya +254

Writing can be fun more so when you are just holding your writing pad, you have a certain idea on mind but then putting it down seems a challenge.
I had this feeling today but as i kept holding the pen, something came up and i had to pass it across.
There are so many things affecting our great and beloved country Kenya but there are few who are bold enough to stand and say no. Nowadays there is nothing like hope, trust, faithfulness and justice. No, not even in marriages, church sorry to say.
Have you ever wondered why we have scarcity of such lately? I have the answer and am sure most of you might not agree with me but the current generation is full of ignorance. Yes am one of them and this is something really affecting our modern system. Today, statements like, "I wont do this because of this" are very common. There is no aggressiveness at all. We are all struggling to survive and at the end of the day we realize that we are consuming so much energy to gain something so small. Reason, ignorance.
Dambisa Moyo once said and i quote "Africa will go no where, as long as Africa depends on friends of good will" I will still echo the same segments and tell you that as long as you depend on external forces to succeed, then, you will have to wait for quite sometime. Am one person who believes that change starts from within and the greatest power of an individual is born from within. If you wanna achieve something, not unless you fight for it, then you will never even make baby steps towards such.
You will always speak about how others are progressing, a song that we Kenyans have sang for quite sometime. The biggest question to ask ourselves is; Are we less humans?
It is now 52 Years since we gained independence but it looks like yesterday. Not because the memories are so vivid, but because we are still rotating in the same spot. I still remember the Israelites at one point they had to go round a certain mountain quite a while until they learned the reasons as to why they were moving but still remaining on the same spot. I believe we haven't learned our reason and that is why we still have to keep on camping on the same spot even after 52 years.
I believe we are all fed up and we really wanna move to our "promised land." It is us to take the initiative, start with the basics and organize our system. This might appear silly to someone who wants immediate results as it might take time to build up, but i assure you it is worth the task. Nothing comes easy and we have to bear the cost if we really want our future generations to have life.
As an individual do not consider yourself irrelevant in these matters. Am sure you are wondering which role you can play, but as much as you just resolve to do right and with a good intention at heart, i do the same and the other person the same, I really believe with that we shall be able to transform our system completely and have life.
Three things are core to achieve this;
  1. Discipline
  2. Passion
  3. Love
